Trust!

 

Trust may seem to be just a word but behind that just one word carries such heavy weight and very deep meaning. 

Trust is not easily earned nor is it easily given away.  Especially for those with dented self confidence such as myself sometimes.  Trust is a bloody HUGE thing for both ways. 

Nobody walks around announcing their dented confidence or self esteem or crippled motivation behind the masqueraded face or all that is in that criteria. Trust is a vulnerability that is safely guarded by maybe pride .. or ego... or superego OR simply just LOVE! Conflict can arise even at the slightest smallest pinch of doubt. BUT if trust is build and blossom not only will it be green on the other side but colorful too.  

Especially in recovery journey, emotions are raw and vulnerability is heightened and that makes trust so important to bank on hope! Don't tell someone who is on their recovery journey to get a grip of themselves or watch motivational videos.... those are not gonna help at that very moment that they are looking for help.  Their coping mechanism is broken! Broken! Broken!  That is why they are on recovery, which means they are trying to fix something and they are very aware that they are BROKEN and trust is not easy for them especially if they have bank or pay a high price of hope on you. Dont! Just dont make them shun away ... They are vulnerable! They have feelings ..and their emotions is raw and they honestly do not know what to do...NOT because they want to attract attention! To you they are trying to seek attention BUT to them they are trying to ask you for help! Remember their self confident is crippled and they feel inferior ... so their way of asking for help maybe vastly different from the way you expect.   They are simply living a simply human life with emotions! What they need is just a little bit of loving.... TLC... tender loving care! All or nothing but never anything in between. And when that trust is some what paralyzed by even just a slightest bit of doubt... that is when the roller coaster of anxiety begins! So please ... judge less.... just judge less,.... 

.................. You just dont know what your JUST one kind word can mean to another.

So spread more love, more hope, more kindness....
