Second Chance

You had me with your tears,
You gave me your beautiful smile,
You seduced me with your promises of forever,
You whispered your love was only for me,

I was taken in by your every touch,
You lured me into a world i never knew existed,
I was naive and you took your chance,
And paddled me into your boat for a ride

Blindly i followed on
And enjoyed every little minute of it
Unknowingly i would be destroyed,
By my own stupidity for loving you completely

Gave up everything else just for you
To be with you
You know not the sacrifices just for you
and yet painfully i lost you

It was a hard fall
So hard that i could not save myself
slipped and drowned very deeply into the darkness,
Years and years went by,
lived in my own world all alone
while you laughed away with your glass of wine 
and i kept tripping on my own throne

Why oh why?
Did you destroy my trust in love
Did you not know i love you so much!

I was on the floor
Close to giving it all up
But i was miraculously saved,
By a loving God,
Who still loves me despite all that odds,
How can i deny when he brought me back to life,
Giving me another chance to live the life i once denied...
