Sitting by the window all confused
Looking at the dark sky
Waiting for the stars to appear
To light up the moonless night
But the wait just seem to prolong..
The heart know not what it was waiting to see
But there was a glimmer of hope
Hope to feel free from the clutches of yesterdays nightmare
Nails scratched the stoned wall
Fighting the pain that was stabbing deep inside
Poisonous memories awaiting to be free
To free the crippled little girl
That is trapped inside
All she ever wanted was to play outside
Like any other children
But no
She could only watch from the window
With the thunder and the downpour
Just like how the cries began in her heart
while the tears rolled in the dark
So many years passed
And there she was still by the window looking outside
Just like that little girl
When all she wanted was to play outside,
But instead the storm built inside
