The Masqueraded Eyes

While the sun smiles bright in the beautiful blue sky,
The streaking heat pricks at the skin burning the veins inside,
Trust is as delicate as the veins beneath,
Only the strength of a power so great
can move a frozen heart to open the door ajar,
Blown by the gush of insensitivity from the masqueraded eyes
The door slam shut,
Trust betrayed,
Drama no this is not,
Judge not what appears on the surface,
The hurt is as painful like the scorching veins,
Mockery after mockery, Disappointments after disappointments
Hammering nails all over the tired brain,
Wounding it, breaking the fragile puzzle into pieces again,

Nothing crumbled the heart more than the promise of a glimpse of false hope,
Why oh why has hope come only to freeze again,
And so the door is shut protecting all that is in,
Building icy walls of thorns from within
Only love so sincere can melt the frozen doors again,
And bring back the life that is now lying broken on the floor
by the garden's stream...
